In these turbulent times, there is solace to be found in quiet meditation. There, as we drop deeper within ourselves, the mind starts to relax and let go. No longer tasked with trying to process all that is going on, there is a brief, daily interlude of stillness.
This can happen even in the smallest amount of time. In the peace of the morning before the world awakes. As we sit in traffic waiting for it to clear. As we stand in line waiting for our turn. We can drop in and touch the stillness that is always there waiting for us.
It is a practice. No one does it perfectly. Thoughts do intrude. The more we practice, the less attention we give those thoughts and the more we are able to access the peace that nourishes our soul.
The world so desperately needs this peace now. We as individuals so desperately need this peace now. This is where we find our ground. This is where we find our strength to carry on. This is where wisdom lives. In the quiet, still place, deep within.
Give yourself this place of rest and renewal for your weary soul. It’s so simple, yet so profound.
Listen to the Silence
Stepping outside of our usual lives, of coming and going and doing
We can step inside to the center of being, take a moment to find the solace within
Listen to the silence, it speaks volumes
Listen and be still
Listen to the silence, it speaks to who you are
Listen, listen to the silence
Taking the time to go to our core, we find rich and fertile ground
We can turn inside and touch the soul, take a moment to find our essence within
And when we hear the soul’s song
Like the silence of a sunrise
We align ourselves
With a world of wisdom and light
