There are many layers of life, all happening at the same time. I’ve come to appreciate that living these lives is not for the faint of heart. Here are some personal updates of mine:
As mentioned in an earlier newsletter, our second cat, Cinco had cancer. He has now succumbed. While we feel the loss of his life deeply, there is something very sweet about the two feline brothers from the same litter, living and loving together for thirteen years and then passing on within 3 months of each other. They now each have a special space outside our window, under the rosebud tree.
And I am beginning training with the Success Unlimited Network to become a Coach Trainer, which means, in addition to being a coach, I will be training others to be coaches. This is the program I trained with to become a coach, whose focus is coaching with spirit. So if any of you have a desire to become a coach, let me know. It’s a great program and I will be soon able to train you.
As I take a bigger step in professional and personal development, I am reminded of the importance of following the heart’s calling towards growth, learning and discovery.
When we move in that direction, aligned with that particular calling, we respond to an alive curiosity that brings inspiration, purpose and fulfillment.
It is not a mystery what our next step is when we take the time to be in stillness each day and listen deeply, embracing all of who we are and responding with a full-throated ‘Yes!’.
Therein resides all we need to know to create a life congruent on the outside with who we are on the inside.
Guest House
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
As an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
