I love this time of year—the flurry of the holidays is over, the year is ending, a new one is beginning, with all the possibilities a new beginning holds.
It is a time between past and future, where the present is ripe with possibilities—a bridge to pause on and look at one’s life reflection. What is it you see? What is it you are pleased with? What is it you still long for? What is within your power to create, articulate, transform?
I find it helpful to look at each area of my life and evaluate where I’m at:
–Physically where am I now and where do I want to be this time next year?
–Emotionally what would help me be better balanced?
–Mentally what knowledge would contribute to a better understanding of the world?
–Spiritually how can I come closer to living an essentially actualized life, aligned with my soul purpose?
Intentions are important. It helps us clarify where we are, who we are at this moment in time, and gives us direction, focus and purpose. It brings an aliveness.
And as we intend, we need to balance that with the recognition that the universe has its say in the matter. We are engaged in a dance between the pull of our heart and the unfoldment of reality.
It is sometimes tricky to navigate. We want control, we want to say what is to be, to wave a wand and attract its manifestation. And sometimes it does beautifully. And other times it comes in a different color, form or flavor then what we asked for. That is when we are called to accept, surrender and work with until it is otherwise.
As we set our intentions, while letting go more and more of our imaginings, we discover just how grand the universal plan can be. And that’s a beautiful thing.
All the best to you in the New Year!
Relax is what i am hard at work on! Being in indy away from the rush at home has helped me slow down & enjoy the moments. Your words are good reminders thanks!
So happy to hear my words were helpful. Also happy to hear you are able to slow down and enjoy the moments. Plenty of love, laughs and fun to take in all around! Love to you.
Diane,
Thank you for planting new forms of life in your yard and in form with your words to my garden of consciousness…the spirit of stillness pervades both “scenes”.
Thanks so much for your newsletters and how you convey your experiences of moving more deeply into the Being and connectedness of all Life.
I love your newsletters and continual bursts of insight.
Much love
