Yesterday in my meeting with my client, we went to the deeper regions of her heart. She wants more passion in her life and was feeling sadness and loneliness there instead.
It was amazing what she discovered there—an image that on closer exploration brought forth words such as beauty, light, dynamic, integration, shift in paradigm. She said the work we are doing is breaking up patterns in her mind. It was all a huge surprise and gift for both of us.
I feel so honored to be trusted enough to do this deep work with my clients. It is where true transformation takes place, in the realm of the soul, accessed through the body wisdom.
In my own personal development work I have discovered how intricate the heart actually is. I used to just think it was either opened or closed. Now I know there is so much to explore in that region of my being and it never ceases to surprise me with what is revealed.
Recently I had a pain in my back between my shoulder blades that seemed to show up out of nowhere during a session with my Diamond Approach teacher. I first viewed it as an annoying distraction from the work we were doing. When it wouldn’t relent, I decided to go with and into it.
When I did, I discovered at the back, bottom of my heart a shimmering silver sphere of light with rays of silver light around it. It was vibrating, suspended in air and most beautiful—I was awed by it.
As I investigated further, it felt like a pocket of energy, perhaps creative energy that had been in hiding since childhood. I now have access to this newfound energy and it is powerful. What an amazing surprise, living right inside my heart!
Our bodies hold our history, our emotional patterns and the mysterious potential of who we are and who we can be. When we enter into deep connection and engage in intimate contact, a whole new fascinating world is revealed that can support and inform our life’s journey.
How about you—what have you found in your heart that has amazed and surprised you? I can assure you there is a wealth of experience just waiting to reveal itself and be known.
