This week I was coaching one of my favorite clients (and they are all favorites) to get to the heart of what she wants in a particular career/work situation. We worked deeply to remove the disclaimers, equivocations and barriers to the core of what she wants. It took time. It took asking questions for clarity, having her words reflected back, and challenging how she was asking. We role-played various scenarios with alternate responses to her requests. It was an amazing process of peeling away the extraneous and getting to the essence.
After she left, I felt in awe of how she has grown over time, actualizing more and more of her potential. It is breathtaking to witness transformation in another. I didn’t get a chance to tell her this, so—you know who you are—Thank You, you are an inspiration!
Whenever we witness growth and expansion in another, we can be inspired to take our own steps toward growth and expansion. The potential for big things lives in us all—we know it, we feel it, and when we unearth it and let the light of day shine on it, it can light up our lives, and the lives of everyone we come in contact with, in ways we can’t even imagine!
The seed for this potential lies in our hearts. The desirous longing of why, how and what we want to create in our lives is in the seed of our potential. It holds the DNA of our unique expression meant to be actualized in this life.
We can choose to ignore it and spend our days complaining about our bad luck, anxious and worried about what’s to come, victimized by everyone and everything that is happening to us.
Or we can step into our power and be the cause of our lives. To say yes to our hearts, to stand by our desires, to plant our flag in the ground, and say yes to what we are here to be, do and have. To get the support we need to manifest the potential of who we are, in whatever form necessary so that we can grow into all that we are meant to be.
The world needs what you have to offer. And the more actualized you are, the more fulfilled your heart is, the fuller and more beautiful the heart of the world. What a wonderful world this can be!
