Every where I look, out pops the slogan “A New Year, A New You”. This truly resonates for me this year.
Last year I took a year long business course with Heart of Business that gave me a chance to align my business more solidly with my heart. I met Judy Murdoch , who was part of the Heart of Business team and she is now my business coach, keeping me focused like a laser on my heart’s longing.
My goals for this year, this new decade, are to support more people in finding their purpose and creating a meaningful life designed on their heart’s longings and I plan to do this through speaking, writing music and articles, and through working with clients one-on-one.
In addition, my plan is to create a CD of original songs and guided meditations. I am so excited about the opportunities that I see coming my way in this new year.
New Decade
Do you remember the year 2000 when the new century began a decade ago? In many ways it seems like just yesterday. How many of those decades do we have left? Well let’s see…for me, I’m 58 years old and the average U.S. life expectancy is around 80 years; that’s two more decades for me! Wow, that puts things in stark perspective; truly no time to waste.
How about you? Do the math—unless you are an infant, life is pretty darn short.
What are You Waiting For?
How do you want to spend the time you have left? When do you plan to start living the life you want to be living, the life you dream of, the life you long for? Maybe…now? What would you like your next ten years to be about?
Help is Here
Experience has shown me that for any lasting change to happen, you need a lot of support and believing mirrors to remind you of what you are capable of, what your heart longs for, especially when those familiar fears and old critical voices pop up—as they always do when we try to change the status quo—and say “Are you crazy, you can’t do that!” That’s why coaching is so helpful; it helps you challenge those things that get in your way.
Along with support, there are a few other ingredients that help us make sustainable changes: a clear sense of where we are and a vision of where we want to be–
- a healthier relationship with ourselves, our partner, friends and family
- a healthier, more energetic body
- spending more time enjoying the present rather than reenacting the past or worried about the future with peace of mind
- more contentment and fun!
Seem like too much to ask? Over and over again I’ve seen my clients make miraculous changes. You can, too.
People often resist investing in themselves, feeling it is more than they can afford. Compare it to the cost of a new flat screen TV or latest electronic gadget—cool toys indeed, but life changing? What is the price of getting the life you want?
My new coaching information page contains powerful words from clients about the impact of the coaching program in their lives, as well as answers to many possible questions about the program.
I offer a payment plan to make it more affordable for you or a discount if you pay all at once.
You have a choice of two programs: a regular coaching program of 8 two hour/every other-week meetings; or a premium of 8 two hour/every-other week meetings with six months of follow-up group telecalls to keep you on track after the 8 meetings are complete.
I am now seeing clients in my Katonah office, on the phone, or Skype, and in my Pawling office. As I am devoting more time to speaking and writing this year, I have a limited number of one-on-one coaching slots available, so if you are interested, contact me right away.
Support
I want you to succeed. No matter what you’re doing, whether it’s changing your career, starting a new exercise program, or working through relationship issues, a coach is all about helping you build the life you want.
I will reinforce the steps you’re taking to reach your new goals. We all need help from time to time in moving forward out of the habits that keep us stuck where we are and moving forward into a better life. Ask for and receive that help.
Objectivity
An outside perspective from a coach can help you identify your strengths, pursue your passions, and start down a new path or create a new way of doing what you’ve been doing, only better.
Accountability
As a coach, I am like a running buddy who sets a date with you. If you don’t show up or find reasons why you don’t really want to exercise, I’m going to call you on it while at the same time reminding you of what your true goals are. I also help you look at your inner demons and obstacles and then give you the tools you need to overcome them.
I can help you reshape the life you have to fit who you really are, aligned with your heart’s desire. And with the beginning of this new decade, why not treat yourself and invest in your future—a New Year, a New You?
Wishing you a beautiful New Year~
Diane

Great to hear from you, Susan–I love your check-ins with me. So happy to hear I helped get you back on track with this posting–your purpose is your anchor and your compass through stormy weather or when you are looking for the next port in paradise. Love to you~
I love reading your emails. They are always timely for what I am dealing with.
The New Year, New You has been my insight for 2011 for the past 2 months. I am
in for big change this year! Turning 50, early retirement…and a divorce. I’ve been taking the steps for all this to happen and part of me wants to move it along faster, yet, I have a bit of fear of all the change. All at once.
Thanks for the reminders to keep my life’s purpose on track, not just one day at a time but everyday.
