Here comes that Ah Ha moment that strikes every now and again! Does that ever happen to you – thoughts and ideas suddenly coalesce into an insight, a piece of wisdom; a subtle, yet profound shift that goes from an idea in your head, to a knowing in your heart?
Dancing Around
I’ve been dancing around it for years. I talk about how following your passions is good for you because it brings energy, excitement for living, and fulfillment, and, when you give your gifts to others, you make the world a better place.
No Effort Required
The piece that fell into place, like the missing puzzle piece that fits perfectly, was this: when you are doing those things that bring you passion, energy, joy, and excitement, it automatically makes a difference in the lives of others. No effort required. Merely by the doing, you bring more of these qualities into the world. Your positive energy has a profound effect on the vibrations and energy around you. Then if you choose to take it a step further and from a full heart intentionally seek places to have a positive effect, it expands exponentially. Wow, it seems quite worthwhile placing these joy drivers at the center of our lives.
Light Up
Stick your toes in the ocean, spread your soul across the sea
Breathe the breath of the living, step into who you can be.
Climb the top of the mountain, drink the scene along the way
Touch the sky as you reach it, step into this new day
Light, light up and live
This glorious life
This glorious world
Light, light up and give
Your glorious gift
Just open up your heart and give
Feel the magical vibration, urging you to wake and move
Dance your greatness unfolding, step into wonderful you
Climb the top of the mountain; drink the scene along the way
Touch the sky as you reach it, step into this new day

Sparkle Time
Looking back at the times when there was brilliance and sparkle in my life, I see it was when I was doing those things that filled me with passion and energy. Writing songs always does this for me. Making a CD of my songs and putting it out in the world moved people in ways I had hoped for, but didn’t think probable. When I trained and ran the NYC Marathon and raised pledge money to go towards the end of world hunger, I felt a thrill. When I finished writing my book, I totally surprised myself that I had actually written a book. When I am coaching a client and they have their own Ah Ha moment, that is bliss for me.
Just Do It
When you do the things that speak to your heart, you reassure your deeper self that you are listening and responding. This develops trust, respect, and love for yourself, as well as strengthening the courage muscle to do even more of your heart’s desire.
And it is a win-win for all. Your light lights up the world.
I love the look of your newsletter and your website.. I am awed by you….
Much love,
Susan
Thanks Susan–music to my ears! Love to you~
Beautifully said.
This agile optimism and joy of life, will be needed by us all as we face a global cultural evolutionary leap over the next ten years.
Your Ah Ha! is also well documented in the book “The Happiness Advantage” by Shawn Achor, who taught it in his Happiness” course, one of the most popular courses at Harvard at the time.
Hi Phil–Hope all is well with you. Thanks for your comments. I’ll check out that book.
Dear Diane,
How wonderful to open my e-mail this morning to find such a positive outlook from you.
I have always considered myself an optimist; but I was married to a pessimist/misogynist who tried for 50 years to break my spirit and make me see life as he saw it: “Through a glass darkly.”
He left me last May and did me the most wonderful of favors. While it was hard to deal with this rejection at first, I was finally able to see how living with him was an anchor on my balloon. Reading optimistic notes from friends and acquaintances helped me exponentially. I’m finally starting to believe the comments I’d always heard about
myself — that I am such a positive, helpful and gracious person. Thank God no one gave up on me.
Barbara
I love your new website. It speaks to the heart. The Ah Ha! moment is a great gift when we experience it. I sometimes feel as though a burden has been lifted or I wonder how it could be so simple. Yet, that Ah Ha! insight can transform our life into something magnificent.
I hear you–it is often a subtle shift to the right or left and the piece falls in place. I love it. Thanks for your comments, Dave.
What an inspiring story! Thanks for sharing it here, Barbara. Most importantly, you didn’t give up on yourself. When we surround ourselves with positivity, the light shines in. Blessings to you, Barbara.
