With the heat of these last days of August pulsing against our skin, we are forced to slow down. It is the last sigh of summer before things change and a new school year begins. Hopefully you found some time to listen to the sounds of the Circada calling from the trees and to take a nap in a hammock with a good book spread across your chest.
Even if you don’t have children, the shift is felt–the season is changing. It is time for a new beginning; a chance to start fresh.
I remember the excitement of wondering what my teacher would be like, which friends would be in my class and preparing a special outfit to represent my one-year-older self.
Here in the Northeast, the leaves are beginning to express colors of gold and red, and the early droppers are already falling. Yes, a turn of the season is a time to reflect and plan what’s next, what changes are coming and what we want to make happen.
